I took this an evening of mid October, when fall colours were just about the peak, from atop the ridge that encircles the lake of Arpy (which lies behind my shoulders here), a natural balcony looking down to the north-western end of Valle d'Aosta, with the majestic Monte Bianco massif in the background...The title comes from the Austrian composer Joseph Marx's masterpiece "Eine Herbstsinfonie", a piece that I love and which I immediately thought of when I spotted this scene. A true symphony of colours and mountain ranges in this vista..This is stitched from 5 vertical frames
