This wonderful specimen of Swiss stone pine caught my attention for its height and majestic look. It is more than 40 meters (130 ft) tall and the trunk at the base is about 2 meters (7 feet) in diameter. It clealry emerges from a beautiful wood of aspens and maples lying in a plain in Valle Stretta, a small gorgeous valley of the Western Alps in Piedmont, Italy. All the environment here has a strong look and feel of being in a very neat and clean garden. Taken on an evening of mid October, this is stitched from eight vertical frames.
