Tuscany Hills in Orcia Valley { 68 images } Created 30 Oct 2014

The amazing hills of Val d’Orcia in southern Tuscany have always been loved for the unique sceneries. A UNESCO's World Heritage Site since 2004, the Orcia Valley probably represents the most successful example in Tuscany of how human interaction with nature can sometimes turn into magic and produce an incredibly beautiful landscape.

For centuries, painters have been greatly inspired by these gently rolling hills, with their changing colors in the seasons, patchwork of crop, corn and sunflowers fields, scattered farmhouses and dirt roads lined with cypress trees.
